on community leadership for the 21st century.
Published by The Academy of LeadershipPress
at The University of Maryland, the Peirce-Johnson
report is titled Boundary Crossers: Community
Leadership for a Global Age. This report is
the result of an 18-month project that compiled
detailed leadership case studies of ten major
metropolitan regions -Atlanta, Charlotte,
Chattanooga, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Kansas
City, Portland, San Antonio, and San Diego.
The ten case studies have been published as
a companion volume -- Boundary Crossers: Case
Studies of How Ten of America's Metropolitan
Regions Work. |

natural resources and environmental services

on the Theory and Practice of Civic Globalism

The IRTPCG was held in Washington, DC from
April 19 to 21, 2001. Sponsored by The Democracy
Collaborative, the meeting brought together
leaders from universities, international agencies,
civil society organizations, and the corporate
sector from 12 countries. The Roundtable was
the first part of an ongoing discussion aimed
at creating new strategies for strengthening
democracy worldwide. |
