College Park Scholars International Studies Academic Program: “Towards a Global Community”

The College Park Scholars, International Studies curriculum is designed as a sequential, two-year program. In addition to University of Maryland requirements, in order to receive a citation, students must complete 15-16 credits with an overall average GPA of 3.0. These credits must be satisfied during the two-year period of the CPS program (4 semesters). In addition to the four colloquia, GVPT 100, and ENGL 101 or COMM 107, students must take one additional supporting course that usually fulfills University of Maryland requirements.

EESG is a multi-disciplinary student organization dedicated to advancing the case for ecologicsl economics and exploring the intersection of environmental, social and economic issues. Housed in the School of Public Policy, EESG hosts a weekly seminar, the Environmental Policy Roundtable.

ECO works to address environmental issues both on and off campus, and to empower students to work for environmental change.
MaryPIRG

MaryPIRG is a student directed environmental and consumer watchdog group. We work on issues such as Hunger and Homelessness, clean water, environmental education, focusing on community service and activism.
SustainUS – The US Youth Network for Sustainable Development

SustainUS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of young people advancing sustainable development and youth empowerment in the United States. Through proactive education and advocacy at the policy-making and grassroots levels, we are building a future in which all people recognize the inherent equality and interdependence of social, economic, and environmental sustainability.
