The following resources provide links to national organizations that advocate for and against the death penalty.
The Innocence Project

The Innocence Project at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law was created by Barry C. Scheck and Peter J. Neufeld in 1992. It was set up as and remains a non-profit legal clinic. This Project only handles cases where postconviction DNA testing of evidence can yield conclusive proof of innocence. As a clinic, students handle the case work while supervised by a team of attorneys and clinic staff. The website contains an interesting section with case profiles and additional resources for each of the postconviction DNA exonerations that occur in the United State
Maryland Coalition Against State Executions

MCASE s a coalition of groups and individuals united to end the death penalty in Maryland through education, legislative action, and public demonstration. The site contains information about the legislative action related with death penalty in Maryland, data about the inmates exectued or remaining in death row, an the case of exonerated Kirk Bloodworth.

NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund

This is a site for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. The program’s primary purpose is to offer legal assistance to poor African Americans. The site includes latest news about legal cases, a list of LDF events, information about their program, and links to other national organizations with similar purposes. It is an extensive website, but you have to search for news about the death penalty

This is a very good site that has information on many of the different aspects of the death penalty and the issues surrounding it. It also has a resource link that gives video, news, research, and other information that can be used for research.
