This is a new play based on the experiences of 11 people who were wrongly convicted
of capital crimes and spent time on death row. The play, which has been running
at the Culture Project (45 Bleecker Street, in Greenwich Village) on Monday nights
since Oct. 30, has been drawing big audiences as well as a roster of big-name
actors wanting to perform in the piece. Among the performers who have appeared
are Charles S. Dutton, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Richard Dreyfuss, Steve Buscemi
and David Morse; this evening's cast includes Cherry Jones, Martha Plimpton and
Polly Bergen, as well as a musical performance by Cyndi Lauper.
